James Lenaeus Hubard enlisted 6-14-61 as a private in Virginia 44th Infantry. and rose through the ranks to Major and Quartermaster for Robertson’s Cavalry. He was a special agent for the Ordnance Dept, applied for Judge Advocate, was taken prisoner 4-3-65 at Amelia Court House and confined to Point Lookout. Took Oath of Allegiance 5-1-65. Post part farmer and lawyer. Military records included.
