CSA 11-AD, 10¢ blue pair (gum stains and bit of vermin erosion) tied by CHARLESTON / S.C. // OCT / 2 [1864] dcds, Welch / Calhoun type A-28 with year eliminated – used only August 1864-January 1865 – on legal size cover to Clerk of the Court for Lancaster Dist SC Lancaster CHouse So with directive “Via Camden SC.” Docketing up right side “Returns of Elections for Senator Members of the House Representatives Ordinary – Tax Collector for Lancaster Dist SC – held at Fort Sumter.” Stamp selvage seals the intact back flaps. Ex Kohn and Karrer. $150.
