CSA 12-AD, 10¢ blue (4 margins) tied by what appears to be a blurry army field cancel on clean cover to Asst & Acting Surgeon H. Fisher, 31st Regt Ga Vols, Richmond, Va. [VA]  $150.

Assistant Surgeon Harris Fisher ( 1836-1892) was also known as Henry Fisher and Harris Fishe. He was born in Wilkinson County, Ga to Dr. & Mrs. Wm. Fisher and received his M.D. degree from the Eclectic Medical Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio in 1857.  April 26, 1861 he enlisted as a private in Co. F, 3rd GA Infantry. In 1863, he was appointed an Asst. Surgeon in the 31st GA Infantry and served in that capacity until paroled April 9, 1865 at Appomattox, Va.
