CSA 13d, 20¢ green, Diagonal Half Used as 10¢ - two diagonal halves placed together to form a full stamp, not parts of the same stamp, tied by CHARLESTON S.C. double-circle datestamp on cover to Miss Emma C. Chafer, Aiken S.C., also with horizontal pair of CSA 7-L, 5¢ blue pair on London paper, affixed over November docketing and tied by CHARLESTON / S.C. // JAN / 10 (1864) double-circle datestamp, portions of the bisects torn away. This was mailed on two separate dates to the same destination; the bisect use was likely first to pay for extra weight, perhaps the sender of the second use attempted to remove the bisects prior to the second use.  2006 CSA certificate. Extremely unusual use demonstrating the adversity of the times. $1,300.
