William Wirt Henry (1831-1900) was the grandson of Patrick Henry. He was a Virginia lawyer, a historian and a writer; he attended UVA. Henry wrote a well-respected 3-volume biography on his famous grandfather in 1891. He served in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate. Henry was the President of the Virginia Bar Association and the American Historical Association. He served briefly (3 months) in the Virginia Charlotte Light Artillery during the Civil War. He is buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Va.
